KUMAVISION continues on the road to success: Cloud-ERP and CloudServices as a growth driver

KUMAVISION looks back extremely satisfied with the 2018 financial year: The company, which specializes in business software solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics, increased its revenue year-on-year by nine percent from 53,8 to 58,6 million euros. Earnings before taxes (EBIT) increased to seven percent. Credit institutions give top marks to the credit rating, which is also due to the high equity ratio of 49 percent. 2019 stand with the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence and Cloud-Services focus on topics that go beyond the traditional ERP business, with which KUMAVISION further enhances its position as a solution partner for medium-sized companies.

As planned, 2018 was a year of consolidation for KUMAVISION, in which the company successfully continued the strategic realignment that had already begun in the previous year. "We have consistently pushed ahead with the transformation of KUMAVISION from an ERP provider to a platform provider," explains Kay von Wilcken, "With Dynamics 365 Microsoft provides us with a technology base that includes not only ERP, CRM and Business Intelligence, but also mobile apps and Office 365 seamlessly interconnected, but also integrates future topics such as IoT and Artificial Intelligence. "

Technology advantage creates competitive advantages

Highlight of this development: KUMAVISION exhibited with project365 In autumn, the world's first ERP industry software based on Dynamics 365 Business Central, which was developed in close collaboration with Microsoft. "We are making this technology advantage accessible to all customers and are already providing our industry-specific solutions for manufacturing, wholesale and retail, medical and healthcare markets on the new platform," says von Wilcken.

The strong demand for mobile apps, IoT solutions as well as the great interest in the first artificial intelligence demo projects show that the strategic reorientation and the associated expansion of the portfolio are catching the nerve of customers and prospects. Targeted expansion of research and development

Cooperations with universities and research institutes are aimed equally at basic research and practical implementation for medium-sized companies: for example, KUMAVISION participates in the digital factory of FH Vorarlberg, which supports and accompanies companies in the digital transformation. The focus of the project is a consistently digitalized value creation chain in production, which ensures a practical education of the students. The "Green Factory" project, funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg, aims to improve energy efficiency and transparent analysis and control of production factors such as electrical energy, compressed air and CO2 certificates. KUMAVISION cooperates with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA and in.integrated informationssysteme GmbH. At the same time, the company will continue to invest selectively in its own product development.
