There is a great deal of information hunger among medium-sized companies on current IT topics. It is not just about digital processes making them more efficient, more productive and thus more competitive overall. Instead, completely new business models based on digitization would become possible in the future. "In the area of digital transformation, companies are now making the most important strategic decisions for the coming decades," Birk emphasized the importance of the topic. The Cloud conquers the middle class

At first, the SME sector was still skeptical, and for many it has become a real alternative: the Cloud, KUMAVISION recognized this trend early and with KUMA365 developed a suitable concept. Whether ERP industry solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, CRM with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Intelligence with Microsoft Power BI or Microsoft Office 365: All the basic business management solutions can be taken out of the business Cloud use without having to buy your own server infrastructure. At the customer forum KUMAVISION presented the service package, which is all about the CloudOffer: maintenance, backups and updates are as much a part of it as support, training and consulting. "This gives mid-sized companies more scope to concentrate on their core competencies," says Markus Birk.

From NAV 2017 to Power BI

Also on display was the new Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017, on which all KUMAVISION ERP industry solutions are based. What's new is a deeper integration of Office 365 and Power BI. These cloud-based offers open up new possibilities for the user in evaluating existing data and preparing it. Whether sharing information in the Cloud, mobile accessibility or self-compiled dashboards: This area is one of the topics with the highest innovation frequency. "For medium-sized companies, it is becoming more and more important to use the data, which is already generated in the ERP system, for customer acquisition and business optimization", says Birk.

Think out of the box

Despite these defining topics, the customer forum also provided enough time to take a look outside the box of business applications. Among other things, further lectures by internal and external speakers dealt with general data security in companies, important online analysis tools were presented and it was revealed what is meant by the keyword "agile IT". With all the diversity of topics, the customer forum was not limited to the theory. Customers and consultants from KUMAVISION also presented application scenarios from the companies in which practical implementation was clearly demonstrated. "All in all, the participants were able to take a lot from the customer forum - the feedback was correspondingly good this year as well," sums up Markus Birk.
