More competitiveness through digitized and automated processes, more future security through a pioneering technology platform and more compliance through MDR, UDI and EUDAMED support: under this motto, the business software specialist KUMAVISION is presenting the current version of the ERP industry software for Medical technology and healthcare market. At the joint booth of Baden-Württemberg International (Hall 15 / Booth H16), KUMAVISION will show how companies use ERP industry software to implement and document the regulatory requirements of the MDR, establish new business models such as pay-per-use and the Internet of Things in production and easily integrate products. Also in focus: a mobile app for service as well as new opportunities for customer loyalty and customer acquisition through innovative applications based on the Microsoft technology platform.

The focus is on the proven ERP industry software from KUMAVISION, which, with over 350 best practice processes, optimally maps the industry-specific requirements of medical technology and the health market both in terms of breadth and depth. The industry software that can be fully validated covers all areas of the company in one solution. Numerous functions and workflows relieve companies of the MDR implementation. "With many existing and also newly developed software features, through our validation packages with numerous templates and consulting offers, we have solved the subject of MDR and validation in a customer-oriented manner, as the positive feedback from our customers from the industry shows," explains Wolfgang Renner, division manager Healthcare Solutions, KUMAVISION AG. These include multi-level serial and batch number tracking, complaint management and quality management including FMEA and CAPA, UDI and EUDAMED support, electronic device files and compliance-compliant workflows for approvals and changes. The functions can be traced at any time and provided with an audit trail.
“From development to production, from purchasing to sales, from service to repairs: Our ERP industry solution covers the entire product life cycle in one piece of software. This not only gives companies an effective tool for sustainably optimizing their processes, but also real-time insights into all areas of the company. Both opportunities and risks can thus be identified at an early stage, ”comments Renner.

Digital transformation as a game changer

“The digital transformation will permanently change the medical technology industry. In addition to real game changers such as the Internet of Things (IoT), services such as AI, bots or machine learning and mobile apps, the digitization of previously paper-based processes in particular has enormous potential for manufacturers, dealers and service companies, ”says Renner. The technology platform Microsoft Dynamics 365 lays the foundation for an offer that is unique in the industry and goes far beyond the ERP functionality. The platform offers CRM solutions for sales, service and marketing, business intelligence applications, trend technologies such as IoT and AI as well as mobile apps, Microsoft Office 365 and teams. “All applications work with the same data. Dispensing with data silos saves time, increases efficiency, minimizes the error rate and creates the basis for automated processes and current evaluations at the push of a button, ”says Renner, describing the advantages from the customer's point of view. The applications can be flexibly combined and scaled, giving companies a very high level of agility and future security. A dedicated team with digitization consultants advises and accompanies companies on all questions from digitization strategy and IT architecture to new business models and practical implementation.

Efficient sales force connection

In the technical field service, a lean, offline-capable application is the measure of all things. At MEDICA, KUMAVISION is showing the new version of a service app that provides all relevant information for service technicians on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. From deployment and route planning to service tickets and electronic device files, on-site service employees can quickly and intuitively access the required functions. Incidents of damage can be conveniently recorded with the camera of the mobile device and, like spare parts orders, electronically transmitted to the ERP software and the office staff. The field staff intuitively captures the signature for deployment reports, orders and deliveries directly via the touchscreen. The integration in Microsoft Office enables z. B. the access to Outlook calendar and the sending of e-mails directly from the app. Important for use in clinics and medical centers: the app can also be used offline, ie without a continuous internet connection. KUMAVISION has designed the service app to be open, companies can easily adapt the app to their specific requirements.
