Exciting discussions, interesting facts about current trends and valuable impulses for the coming months: The digital customer forum 2021 of the business software specialist KUMAVISION took place this year under the motto #getconnected. The three-day event focused on a question that moves companies in all industries: How do you master not only current but also future challenges? The topic of "resilience" ran like a red thread through the entire event: In an exciting mix of topics from industry information, expert lectures and reports from practice, the more than 300 visitors learned which technologies they can use to exploit the opportunities of digital transformation for their company can do.

"The record number of participants this year shows that there is currently a great deal of interest in solutions and methods with which companies can optimally position themselves for the future," explains KUMAVISION board member and host Markus Birk. As in the previous year, the event took place digitally, but was implemented with a new concept: In addition to lectures on topics relating to KUMAVISION's software solutions, it also offered a virtual tour through various themed rooms with a wide range of multimedia information. Thanks to various interactive formats, personal exchange was not neglected either.

 

The industry in focus

On the first two days, the user groups for the ERP industry solutions for the manufacturing industry, wholesalers, project service providers, retail, medical technology and health market as well as international users were present for the more than 300 participants Agenda. In lectures, the industry experts from KUMAVISION provided information about functional innovations, further developments and trends from the respective area. In addition to the industry software, the experts had the interaction of the entire Microsoft ecosystem firmly in view. Therefore, a look at the roadmap of the KUMAVISION industry solutions and Microsoft Dynamics 365 of course not missing.

In addition, the industry experts used various use cases to show what possibilities the Microsoft technology platform offers companies. "The idea of ​​the Microsoft ecosystem is that all the different systems such as ERP, CRM, BI and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams work on one platform and are seamlessly integrated," explains Markus Birk. With the ecosystem, Microsoft has created a technology platform that is adapted to the requirements of today's working world and opens up numerous synergies by breaking down the silos between departments and systems. In addition, it enables companies to react flexibly to new requirements: Thanks to seamless integration, additional applications and processes can easily be added in the future.

 

A place to discover and exchange

The newly developed concept by KUMAVISION for the digital customer forum relies on various interactive formats. From industry-specific topics to general trends such as the Internet of Things to consulting services relating to digital transformation: visitors were able to experience the KUMAVISION solution world live in eight different showrooms. There was a lot to discover in the themed rooms, from videos and presentations to white papers, fact sheets and flyers.

A separate showroom was dedicated to the topic of how the newly created “IT strategy and digitization consulting” department supports management in the digital transformation. The visitors were able to experience the advantages of the methodical approach of the Microsoft Catalyst program and the service packages for the strategic planning and implementation of digitization. The digitization experts were available directly via chat and video call to answer any questions that followed.

 

In the light of the future

Day three of the digital customer forum was all about expert presentations. In nine sessions, the speakers presented intelligent solutions for collaboration and document management in the age of New Work, and provided insight into how customer relationships in marketing, Sales & Customer Service can be rethought, and provided information on current trends and developments such as e-commerce and sanctions lists. A special highlight at this year's customer forum was the keynote speech “Working worlds 2030 - this is how we will work in the future!” By futurologist Sven Gábor Jánszky. In around 60 minutes, Germany's most innovative trend coach and head of Europe's largest independent future institute took visitors on an exciting journey into the future, clearing up everyday misunderstandings about digitization.

 

Customer Forum 2022

The customer forum will take place again next year. Due to the current situation, however, the date has not yet been set. “It would of course be wonderful if we could meet our customers personally again in 2022 at a central event location. But in our planning we are of course based on what the pandemic situation will allow for next year, ”explains Markus Birk.
